Programs
Central MN Freedom Advocates has a variety of programs designed to encourage students to choose sexual abstinence until marriage as a lifestyle. Below is a brief description of each.
-
STAFF DEVELOPMENT: This 90-minute program previews the student presentation and gives extensive information about sexually transmitted diseases. Helpful ideas for student activities in all classes and techniques for interacting with students.
-
PARENT PROGRAM: This 75-minute program is designed to equip parents with the necessary tools to discuss the risks of teenage sexual activity with their children. It includes a preview of the student presentation. CMFA strongly recommends this program precede ALL student presentations.
-
STUDENT PROGRAM: These 60-90-minute interactive programs educate students about the risks of pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and emotional scars associated with teenage sexual activity. These are two programs for students. The original A-Team program encourages students to choose a sexual abstinent lifestyle until marriage as the best lifestyle to reach their dreams and goals. The presentation is designed for grades six through college and can be presented in either small group or assembly format.
-
STUDENT/PARENT COMBO: This 90-minute program combines parents and students together to view the student presentation. Following the presentation, students are dismissed and parents are briefly given strategies for communicating the risks of teenage sexual activity with their children
-
FAMILY COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP: This 90-minute program is a great follow-up to both the student and parent presentation. Sitting as a family unit, participants are involved in a fun, non-threatening communication about the sexual abstinence lifestyle.
-
CHURCH PROGRAM: These 60-90 minute interactive presentation educates students about the damages of pre-marital sex physically, emotionally and spiritually. The A-Team provides sound scriptural advice encouraging teens trying to commit to an abstinent lifestyle while living in a sex-saturated society.
